SideView is a Chrome extension that lets you open websites in a sidebar. Your browsing stays on your computer. We don’t see it.

We don’t collect your data

SideView has no account, no ads, and no tracking. We don’t run servers that receive what you browse, and we don’t sell your data.

Optional feedback

Settings includes a feedback form. It is optional and sends nothing unless you type a message and press Send. If you add your email, it is only so we can reply. That message does not include the sites you browse, pins, recents, history, or bookmarks.

What stays on your computer

SideView saves a few things in Chrome on this computer so the sidebar works the next time you open it:

That information stays in Chrome on this computer. If you are signed into Chrome and have sync turned on, settings and pins can copy to your other Chrome profiles through Google. SideView does not run a server that receives them.

When you open a website

Your browser loads the site directly, the same way a normal tab would. SideView does not sit in the middle, log that visit, or send it to us.

Why SideView asks for permissions

Chrome asks you to allow SideView to show websites in the sidebar and save your sites. We use those permissions only for that. We don’t use them to track you.

How to remove your data

Clear it in SideView settings, or remove the extension. Either way, it stays on this computer until you do.
